I can provide a multitude of services for you or your group. The following is a small list of those.
Website Design and Hosting packages
As a business owner, a presence on the internet is an important part of your marketing strategy. I can help you get those ideas onto a digital canvas, and get you seen. I strive to provide timely, professional service for your business, while working within your budget. Please see the examples on my portfolio page for examples, as well as looking around this site. My rates vary based on the scope of the project, so please contact me using the form on the Contact page.
I can also provide low cost web hosting for your website. This can be tailored to fit your group, with email packages available as well. Rather than having your email go through a third party like Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail. you can have an email address that reflects your level of professionalism.
Live and Studio Sound Engineering
I have extensive experience in both the live and studio realms and can make your sound your best no matter what the environment.
For live sound, I have mixed at some great places including The House of Blues in Chicago, IL, Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, CA and several other great venues around the US as well as many, many houses of worship and on many different types of systems, from the smallest 8 channel system, all the way to big 60+ channel systems. I'm confident that you will love the personal touch that comes from having a sound guy that cares about how you sound!
For studio, I can provide a fun, relaxed environment for you to create your music in. I have partnered with the guys at J Ace J Studio in Redwood City, CA, where I am the Chief Audio Engineer which has some fantastic gear to help you sound your best including a '59 Fender Bassman, '64 Fender Deluxe, and many other amps, guitars, basses, drums, and more to tailor your sound. Prices are dependant on many factors, including time needed, number of songs or instruments, etc. So please, contact me for a quote. No project is too big or too small.
Pedal Building and Modification
I love building and modifying pedals! I can do many different mods to your current pedals, or if you want something completely new, I can potentially build it for you! There are as many pedals out there as there are tastes in music, or stars in the sky. (Ok, maybe not THAT many, but there are a lot out there!) You want a tube screamer style pedal with as many mods as I can fit in one enclosure? Sure, I can do that! Just ask John at J Ace J! His gigging pedalboard sports a couple of pedals I've built, as well as a couple of pedals I've modified for him.
I can also modify your exhisting pedals. There are tons of pedals out there that can have their guts changed around a bit to make them sound different. You want your boss chorus to have a little deeper, lusher sound? Sure! Wait, you want it to make crazy, wacked out noises instead? Sure, I can do those too! You want to control the depth of your phaser using an expression pedal? Yup, I can do that. The bottom line is that if you want something done, please contact me to see if I can do it. Prices range from as little as $25 all the way up to $125 for modifications depending on the parts and labor involved.
Instrument Repair and Modification
While working at Draper Music Center in Menlo Park, CA I became interested in set ups and repairs for instruments. Part of our job was restringing instruments for customers, which I loved to do. When I was given the opportunity to learn how to repair instruments by a local luthier, I jumped at the chance. While learning from him, I was taught how to not only do basic set ups on stringed instruments, but also how to repair their electronics, replace them if needed, and how to add things like phase and series/parallel switches, or a kill switch for those Rage Against the Machine sounds.
If you have an instrument that needs some work, consider me, rather than taking it to one of the big chain stores, who seem to have sawdust for brains most of the time!
